Description

BRANSON, Mo. — The City of Branson has announced its annual fall cleanup, which offers residents an opportunity to dispose of large, unwanted items that trash haulers don't typically pick up.

According to a press release from the city, Public Works crews will pick up items such as unwanted BBQ grills, mattresses and furniture starting on Sept. 23. The city asks that residents submit a "report an issue" form via the city's website for heavy items like sofas or large appliances.

All items (including brush) must be on the curb by 7 a.m. on the appropriate pick-up day:

  • Ward 1 — all items out no later than Sept. 23
  • Ward 2 — all items out no later than Sept. 24
  • Ward 3 — all items out no later than Sept. 25
  • The remaining areas will be completed on Sept. 26-27

To find out which ward you live in, visit the City of Branson's website.

The cleanup services is available for individual residents, but not businesses or commercial entities. The city will not be picking up refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning units, tires, electronics, batteries, bagged leaves or household hazardous waste (such as paint, stain or cleaning supplies).

Those items can be disposed of at the following locations:

  • Tires
    • Taney County Transfer Station (417-336-6589)
  • Bagged leaves
    • Hansen's Tree Service facilities in Reeds Spring and Ozark (417-272-8733)
  • Electronics
    • Hollister Recycling (417-334-6244)
    • Tantone Industries (417-334-7447)
    • Computer Recycling of Springfield (417-866-2588)
