The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools recently awarded 80 Back to School grants totaling $235,440 to classrooms in the Springfield Public Schools district.

The Back to School grants accepted proposals in relation the following categories, classroom projects, diversity, equity & inclusion, mental health, community & family engagement, literacy, STEAM, and student experience.

According to a news release, 80 grants were awarded to 40 Springfield Public Schools.

Foundation for Springfield Public Schools Executive Director, Natalie Murdock, shared in a news release, “Our Back to School Grant Program is designed to make educators’ dreams a reality by providing the resources they need to inspire innovation in the classroom. These projects not only fill important gaps but also align with the district’s priorities.”

Foundation for Springfield Public Schools Back to School Grant Program is made possible through local businesses, community members, and individual donors.
