BOONE COUNTY, Ark. — A man is behind bars after fleeing from Boone County deputies and crashing his motorcycle with his toddler riding with him.
According to a press release from the Boone County Sheriff's Office (BCSO), 29-year-old Robert Culver, Jr. of Omaha, Arkansas has been charged with fleeing and first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor.
The release says that at about 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 18, Culver fled on his motorcycle from a deputy who was attempting to stop Culver. During the chase, the deputy discovered that Culver had taken off with his three-year-old on the bike.
The chase went down a county road to a residence, the release says, where Culver crashed his motorcycle and caused minor injuries to the child.
EMS examined the child, who was released to their mother.
BCSO says Culver is currently being held in the Boone County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
