WALDORF, Md. , A mother and her daughter were transported to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a pit bull attacked them in Waldorf.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:52 p.m. on September 26, 2026, within the 4600 block of Gadwell Place.
A woman initially reported that her dog had attacked her and that she was bleeding; later updates identified the animal as a pit bull.
Emergency personnel secured the area and remained on scene until they verified that it was safe.
Responders subsequently determined that two individuals had been bitten; one sustained injuries to the arm, while the other suffered bites to both the arm and abdomen.
Authorities reported that a 48‑year‑old woman may have suffered a broken arm as a result of the attack.
Both victims, the mother and daughter, were taken to UM Charles Regional Medical Center for treatment of multiple dog bites.
Investigators have not yet released additional details regarding the circumstances that led to the attack.
