Saverino’s Italian Deli & Market serves authentic Italian favorites in Redlands location

No summer travel plans to Italy? No problem.

Take a trip to Redlands and discover Saverino’s Italian Deli & Market, where oversized Italian cold cuts, hot sandwiches and homemade family recipes have drawn customers in since 2012.

Located on West State Street, the husband-and-wife-owned deli has earned a loyal following with its welcoming atmosphere and authentic Italian flavors.

“There’s no better community to be in, I think, for any small local business than Redlands,” owner Veronica Saverino said. “We’ve just made such a good connection and community down here.”

The menu offers something for everyone, from the deli’s bestselling brisket pastrami sandwich and Philly cheesesteaks to Caprese salads topped with house-made pesto and hearty meatball lasagna.

Growing up in an Italian family, co-owner David Saverino said his love of cooking started at home.

“Being Italian, growing up, eating real good Italian food,” he said, crediting his father, mother and grandmother for inspiring many of the recipes still served today.

All sandwiches are served on fresh 8-inch hoagie rolls and priced at $12.99.

Dessert is a must. The tiramisu is a customer favorite, and the cannoli is made fresh to order.

For the Saverinos, the restaurant is about more than great food.

“I’m so grateful for the community that we’ve made in this building,” Veronica said. “Bringing people in and the family that we’ve made here with our employees and with our customers, it’s truly just a blessing.”

Saverino’s Italian Deli & Market is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed Sundays.
