Description

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Three people were arrested by Greene County deputies in Springfield on Tuesday after being suspected of stealing copper wire.

According to the Greene County Sheriff's Office (GCSO), they received info Tuesday morning that multiple suspects from an overnight copper wire theft were located at 2000 N. Howard Ave.

When deputies reached the address, a male ran inside the home and refused to answer the door for the deputies. Deputies found pieces of copper wire in the front yard and established a perimeter while they continued to try and make contact with those inside the residence.

The GCSO SWAT team was called to the scene and deputies obtained a search warrant, arresting three suspects who were inside the residence and taking them to Greene County Jail.
