An overturned milk-carrying semitruck caused a significant obstruction on Route 124 in Hallsville on Tuesday evening, blocking the roadway for several hours.
Emergency response teams, including the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and two tow trucks working to restore the vehicle to an upright position, were observed at the scene at approximately 8:35 p.m.
The semitruck was found lying on its side in the grass along Route 124, in close proximity to the Casey’s gas station. Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
As a result of the obstruction, traffic at the intersection of Route 124, Route B, and Route OO was diverted away from the crash site to ensure the safety of motorists and allow emergency personnel to operate effectively.
According to a Boone County Sheriff’s deputy, the crash initially occurred at approximately 6:24 p.m. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
