Hurricane Isaias Remnants Drench the Commonwealth This Weekend

Our wonderful stretch of autumn weather wraps up this Friday as clouds roll in, bringing unseasonably warm temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s. Cloud cover will steadily increase late in the day and linger through the night. The remainder of the weekend looks wet and stormy as the remnants of Hurricane Isaias move through the region. Prepare for breezy, overcast, and cooler weather with highs dipping back into the 70s, alongside waves of showers and intermittent thunderstorms from Saturday through Sunday. Most spots will pick up between 0.5″ and 1.5″ of rain, though isolated spots could see 2″ to 3″ where heavier bursts repeatedly cross the same area. While this rain will bring welcome relief to our drought-stricken Commonwealth, it will disrupt weekend outdoor activities. Be sure to pack a poncho if you are heading to the game at Kroger Field on Saturday evening.
