Authorities in Sheridan have arrested multiple teens following a large fight that broke out during a high school basketball playoff game last month.
Brawl Erupts During Playoff Game
The incident occurred on March 7, 2026, at Poyen High School during a regional playoff matchup between Barton and England in the 2A boys division.
What began as a competitive game escalated into a physical altercation, prompting involvement from school officials and law enforcement.
Arrests Made Following Investigation
After reviewing the incident, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office executed arrest warrants on April 9 at England High School.
Authorities confirmed that several individuals, described as “adult students,” were taken into custody.
Those charged include:
- Aden Scribner, 19
- Landon Woods, 18
- Charles Chaten, 18
All three are accused of involvement in the fight.

Investigators say the case is still ongoing, and additional arrests could follow. Authorities noted that both juveniles and adults may face charges as they continue reviewing evidence from the altercation.
