The Helias Crusaders stand on the brink of consecutive state volleyball championships following their dominant 3-0 victory over Smithville.
The team is set to compete against St. Dominic in St. Joseph on Friday at noon, with the Class Four state title on the line.
During the previous season, the Crusaders suffered only a single defeat on their path to claiming the Class Three state championship.
In the current season, Helias has stepped up to a higher classification and continued their remarkable winning form.
The Crusaders hold an impressive record of 35-0-1, with their sole tie coming against Strafford during the opening month of the season.
Throughout the entire season, Helias has surrendered only four sets, and since the commencement of the district tournament, the team has dropped just one set out of a total of 16 played.
