The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is actively soliciting community feedback in Morgan County regarding various proposed safety improvements along Missouri Route 5 and Route J.
As part of the early design phase, MoDOT plans to host an in-person public meeting later this month, accompanied by a three-week public comment period. The initiative encompasses plans to replace the existing bridge over Gravois Creek, realign Missouri Route 5, and reconfigure the intersection of Missouri Route 5 and Morgan County Route J.
An open-house style public meeting is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on November 17 at Versailles City Hall. Members of the project team will be in attendance to address questions, share relevant information, and gather input directly from community members.
The formal public comment period will run concurrently, spanning three weeks from November 10 through December 1. Members of the public may submit their feedback through multiple channels, including an online form available on the project’s official webpage, via email at [email protected], or by mail addressed to MoDOT at 1511 Missouri Blvd., Jefferson City, MO 65102.
All submissions must be received no later than December 1 to be considered as part of the review process.
