WSECU Taps New Leader Following Extensive National Search

Olympia-based WSECU has tapped Harry Zhu to serve as its next president and CEO following a nationwide search.

Zhu will take over from Gary Swindler, who steps down next month after a 37-year run with the Washington-based credit union.

His path to the role includes 13 years at Alliant Credit Union, where he advanced through several senior leadership roles. He most recently led USAlliance Federal Credit Union in New York as its CEO.

“I am honored to be joining the team at WSECU,” Zhu said in a recent news release. “What drew me to this opportunity was the credit union’s uncompromising focus on members’ needs, its appetite for innovation, reputation as a community partner, and the exceptional employees who bring their best to serving members every day.”
