University of Arkansas student 19-year-old Crew Kvern pleaded not guilty during a court hearing Wednesday at the Washington County Detention Center. He faces charges of rape, aggravated assault and third-degree battery.
A judge ordered Kvern to stay off the University of Arkansas campus, including all university-owned property.
According to court documents, Kvern is accused of strangling and raping a person on March 18. The victim told investigators the assault took place at a fraternity house.
The court scheduled the trial for June 8.
The judge also ordered Kvern to avoid all contact with the victim. He is prohibited from possessing weapons and from using alcohol or drugs.
