Authorities are investigating after two people were found dead inside a home near Tilton Park on the morning of April 16.

The Wilmington Police Department confirmed that the case remains an active death investigation, with limited details released so far.


Bodies Removed from Seventh Street Home

Police responded to a residence on Seventh Street, located across from Tilton Park, where the bodies were discovered.

Around 10:52 a.m., two body bags were seen being removed from the home by personnel wearing protective hazmat suits. The remains were placed onto gurneys and transported in a forensic vehicle.


Neighbors React as Details Remain Limited

Residents in the area gathered outside as investigators worked at the scene.

Some neighbors said they were unsure who lived in the home, though one indicated the property may have been divided into apartment units.

A “welcome” sign was visible on the porch near the entrance, adding to the unusual scene as authorities continued their work.
