Police Investigate Multiple Shootings Across Philadelphia That Left Several Injured

Multiple shootings from Saturday evening into Sunday morning across Philadelphia left several people injured, police said.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, one of the incidents occurred around 4:34 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2026.

Police said officers responded to the 500 block of Wyoming Avenue after receiving reports of a person with a weapon inside a restaurant. When officers arrived, they learned that a man suffering from gunshot wounds had entered the business but left just before police got there.

While searching for the victim, officers received additional information about a shooting on the 4700 block of Whitaker Avenue. When they arrived at that location, they found a 20-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. Police transported him to a nearby hospital.

Shortly afterward, officers located a second 20-year-old man on the 4700 block of Rorer Street with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. He was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police said both men are in stable condition.

Investigators processed the scene on the 4700 block of Rorer Street, where they recovered fired cartridge casings and found a black Pontiac G3 that had been hit by gunfire. Officers also discovered a grey Ford Fusion mid-block after it crashed into a parked pickup truck.

Police have taken one person into custody in connection with the incident, but the investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue working to determine the circumstances surrounding the gunfire.

Another incident occurred around 1:52 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2026, along the 2400 block of Welsh Road, according to police.

In that case, investigators believe the gunfire broke out during an argument, though officials have not yet released specific details about the nature of the dispute.

The victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot in the right leg and transported to a nearby hospital by a private vehicle. Hospital staff listed him in stable condition, police said.

Officers who responded to the reported location were unable to locate a crime scene. Police have not made any arrests, and they have not recovered any weapons at this time.

The next reported shooting occurred around 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, May 3.

Police said officers responded to reports of gunfire on the 2100 block of West Lehigh Avenue. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police said no arrests have been made and no weapons have been recovered in connection with that incident.
