A worker sustained injuries on Thursday morning when the ladder he was using contacted electrical wires, causing him to fall.
At 8:23 a.m., Atlantic City Police Officers Thomas Gilardi and Jorge Cruz arrived at the intersection of Annapolis and Ventnor Avenues and discovered the man unconscious on the ground.
Authorities could not determine whether he had been electrocuted.
According to the report, Officer Gilardi initially detected a weak pulse but subsequently could not locate any pulse.
He administered CPR until paramedics arrived and assumed medical responsibility.
The unnamed man was airlifted to Temple University Hospital for advanced treatment; his current condition remains undisclosed.
Officials have not identified the man’s employer nor the specific building involved.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has not yet responded to a request for comment.
