Man facing multiple charges after surviving naked jump from Brooklyn Bridge

A 44-year-old man is facing multiple charges after he jumped naked from the Brooklyn Bridge on Sunday afternoon and survived the plunge into the water below, authorities said.

Police identified the man as Galymzhan Abaildayev, 44. He faces charges of reckless endangerment, making graffiti, public lewdness, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

Abaildayev climbed the north tower on the Manhattan side of the bridge around 2:30 p.m., according to police. After he jumped, the NYPD Harbor Unit rescued him from the water and transported him to a hospital, where he was said to be in stable condition.
