Following a renewed investigation into the tragic 2020 passing of seven-year-old Revelin Meador, Allen County authorities announced on Thursday that they have taken her grandfather into custody.
Law enforcement officially charged 70-year-old Bobby Meador with first-degree manslaughter.
Detectives determined that the young girl lost her life to acute fentanyl toxicity. According to the Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force, investigators confirmed that the child could not physically access or administer the fentanyl on her own. Officials emphasized that she was medically fragile, relied completely on around-the-clock support, and lacked the ability to care for herself.
Officers arrested Meador on October 8 in Warren County. He currently remains at the Warren County Regional Jail while awaiting his transfer back to Allen County.
