How does it work?
We will meet every Thursday from 7-8pm at Sonshine's Royal Ballroom from Sept 19-Oct 24. So the dates are: Sept 19, Sept 26, Oct 3, Oct 10, Oct 17 and Oct 24. We will have a social on Oct 18 at 14 Mill Market where you can get a discounted ticket!

What will I learn?
Regardless of if you are a Lead or a Follow, you will learn the foundations of Modern Bachata. Basic footwork steps, partner positions, turns, essential cues, musicality, and some of the most common movements in bachata.

Do I need a partner to join?
You don't need a partner to join the class. You will rotate during the class switching partners, so you learn how to dance with different Leads and Follows. However, if you sign up as a couple and only want to dance with your partner, you can also do that! Whatever you feel comfortable with.

Will you be able to focus on me?
We are limiting our class to 20 students so that we can prioritize each student. Our goal is to ensure everyone in the class gets enough attention and properly learns the basics of bachata. The objective is that by the end of the 6-week series, you feel you have enough tools to lead or follow a bachata song as a beginner and build that confidence to continue growing from there. We will also do our best to ensure the class is balanced (similar number of follows and leads) so that nobody is standing out for multiple turns. Our focus will be quality, not quantity.

What is the cost?
The cost of the 6-week series is $75, which is like $12 per class. Refreshments will be provided, and you get a discount on the social that weekend! Price goes up to $80 if purchased at the door.
