RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. , President Donald Trump is scheduled to travel to Southern California on Tuesday for a rare visit to the region.
The president will attend a Republican National Committee fundraising event at Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes.
Trump is expected to depart Washington, D.C., after 1 p.m. Eastern Time and arrive in Southern California by early Tuesday evening, ahead of the RNC roundtable set for 6:30 p.m.
During the event, he is expected to discuss his administration’s economic and crime policies.
The visit will prompt temporary flight restrictions and traffic delays in the areas surrounding Los Angeles International Airport and the South Bay.
Trump’s most recent official California appearance came in January 2025, when he toured damage from the Palisades and Eaton fires.
At that time, Trump met with local, state and congressional leaders and assured them “the federal government is standing behind you 100%.”
