HEBRON, Conn. — A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a car in Hebron on Saturday, Connecticut State Police said.
The crash occurred just before 7:50 p.m. on Gilead Street at its intersection with East Street, involving a 2008 Harley Davidson and a 2011 Subaru Legacy. State police identified the motorcycle rider as Dylan Keefe, 21, of Amston.
Investigators determined that Keefe was heading south on Gilead Street when he attempted to pass the Subaru, which was turning left into a driveway.
The Harley struck the left front quarter panel of the Subaru, state police said. The impact sent the motorcycle airborne and off the left side of the road, into an embankment, where Keefe was thrown from the bike.
Keefe sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported by EMS to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact TFC Greg DeCarli #1090 at Troop K.
