NEWTOWN — Police said a 14-year-old was driving when a rollover crash happened on Dodgingtown Road in Newtown last week.
The single-vehicle crash took place near Cemetery Road just before noon Thursday, according to Newtown police. Officers said the car left the roadway, hit a utility pole, and rolled onto its side.
Police said the driver and a front-seat passenger, who is also a juvenile, got out of the vehicle on their own. Emergency crews took both to Danbury Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
Authorities closed Dodgingtown Road for several hours because of damage to the utility pole.
“This investigation remains open pending the issuance of enforcement to the juvenile operator,” police said. “Due to the ages of the vehicle occupants, no further details will be released regarding this incident.”
