A small aircraft crashed early this morning at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, Missouri. Authorities responded to the east side of the airport, where the plane went down and confirmed one fatality. The crash occurred around 3:15 a.m. today.
Officials have not released additional details as investigators from the city of Chesterfield and St. Louis County remain at the scene. The FAA has also been notified and will assist in determining what happened.
