ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man from Orleans County faces accusations of sexually abusing a child in Lyndonville.
According to the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office, 55-year-old Stanley J. Jenks had sexual contact with a child younger than 11 years old.
Deputies searched his home and arrested Jenks on Tuesday. Authorities charged him with first-degree sex abuse, forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Deputies said the weapons charge stems from Jenks being a convicted felon found in possession of a firearm.
Jenks is currently being held at the Orleans County Jail on bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 20.
