One Dead in Jefferson County Domestic Shooting, Investigation Ongoing

Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in Jefferson County that left one person dead Friday night, marking the county’s first homicide of the year.

Deputies Respond to Domestic Disturbance

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a residence on Sassafras Trail in White Hall around 10 p.m. following reports of a domestic dispute involving a couple.

Suspect Taken Into Custody

When officers arrived, a man identified as Scottie Glover exited the home and told deputies he had shot his longtime girlfriend, Donna Holder.

Glover was immediately taken into custody at the scene.

Victim Found Inside Home

Deputies entered the residence and discovered Holder deceased inside. Officials say the couple had been in a relationship for nearly 15 years.

Autopsy and Ongoing Investigation

Holder’s body will be examined by the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the official cause and manner of death.

Investigators say the case remains active, and additional details will be released as the investigation progresses.
