MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam will be closed starting next week, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
The closure will start on Aug. 13 at 6:30 a.m. and last until Aug. 15 at 5 p.m., according to a release from the USACE, to deploy and remove equipment to perform maintenance on the dam.
Drivers are asked to find alternate routes, but those heading to locations on Highway 178 past Bull Shoals Dam will be detoured using Highway 178 and Highway 5 to Highway 126 through Midway and Gassville, Arkansas and Highways 62 and 412 through Flippin, Arkansas.
