SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Evangel Valor have not lost a regular season Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference game since joining the league.
Evangel was 11-0 last year, and started this season with a win.
The Valor beat Kansas Wesleyan 35-24 on the road in Kansas.
Evangel will open the home portion of the schedule Saturday when it hosts Tabor College at Nixa's Eagle Stadium.
Last week, the Valor fell behind 17-7, but rallied with 35 points in the second and third quarters to win.
Offensively quarterback Reid Potts hooked up with Broc Lyle for 157 yards and three touchdowns.
Lyle was named the KCAC offensive player of the week.
Falling behind is not a problem for the Valor.
"Yea coach preaches that alot, just never give up. We've been down like that before, especially last year. I think it's like a culture as well here to win. First of all the O-line did a great job. Reid wouldn't have been able to be there and throw that ball without any time. Coach Wells is the new offensive coordinator and did a good job drawing those plays up," said Lyle.
