Middle-aged woman hospitalized after motorcycle crash in Montgomery County

A Wellsville, MO, woman was hospitalized after a motorcycle crash in Montgomery County on Sunday morning.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the accident occurred at 10:30 a.m. on Route CC at Glazier Trail Road.

The crash happened when the 54-year-old woman, riding a 2017 Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide Ultra, struck a pothole while turning. The impact caused the motorcycle to accelerate, sending it off the roadway, through a ditch, and into a fence and a tree.

The woman was thrown from the motorcycle and became partially pinned underneath it.

The woman was taken to University Hospital in Columbia by Montgomery County EMS and was said to have moderate injuries.
