Joseph Duggar’s wife, Kendra, has been arrested in Arkansas, TMZ reports.
Authorities issued a warrant for Kendra on Friday. Police went to the Duggar family compound in Washington County, Arkansas, earlier that day to carry out the arrest, but she was not there.
However, authorities have now taken her into custody, according to the Washington County Detention Center. Officials wanted her for allegedly endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment.
As for Joseph, police arrested him Wednesday in Tontitown, Arkansas, and charged him with lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor … after a now-14-year-old girl told law enforcement about several alleged incidents involving Joseph that she says happened during a family vacation in Panama City Beach, FL in 2020, when she was 9 years old.
He now faces an additional 4 counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, along with 4 counts of second-degree false imprisonment, according to the Tontitown Police Department in Arkansas … the same charges Kendra faces there.
Police say the charges filed in Arkansas against the Duggars are not connected to Joseph’s case in Florida, according to KARK-TV.
Joseph appeared in court via Zoom earlier Friday and waived his right to an extradition hearing … agreeing to be extradited to Florida, where he allegedly sexually assaulted the girl. Authorities in Florida now have 30 days to take Joseph into custody from an Arkansas jail.
