PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Authorities have released new details following a fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the lives of a father and his daughter in Jefferson County on Monday.
According to the fatal crash report, 44-year-old Joanthony Garcia and his 22-year-old daughter, Junique Garcia, died after failing to navigate a curve while traveling on U.S. Highway 79.
The motorcycle veered off the east side of the roadway and struck a curb, ejecting both riders. The crash occurred just before 1 a.m.
The Jefferson County Coroner pronounced both victims dead at the scene.
Officials say that the road was dry and that conditions were clear at the time of the accident.
