Multiple students hospitalized after Harlan County school bus crash

Emergency responders took several students to a local hospital following a Thursday morning collision involving a school bus in Harlan County.

Harlan County Public Schools shared that the incident occurred at the Rosspoint intersection on U.S. 119. The Kentucky State Police confirmed that an SUV collided with the bus.

A total of 23 high school students were riding the bus during the accident.

Officials have not yet shared the precise number of injuries.

The district confirmed that staff have already reached out to the families of the injured students.

Emergency teams are actively working at the site, though traffic continues to move without any current road closures.
