MILFORD, Del. – Delaware Police are investigating a murder-suicide in Milford after pronouncing two people dead in their home on July 5.
Troopers responded to the 7000 block of Sugar Maple Drive in Sugar Maple Farms around 4:15 p.m. after a man called 911 to report that he had killed his wife and then hung up.
Police say that after they made multiple failed attempts to contact the man again, the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team entered the residence.
Police say that upon arriving, they found a 38-year-old woman with gunshot wounds and a 43-year-old man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Officials are withholding their identities until they notify the families.
