North Haven elementary student hit by vehicle while boarding school bus

A student at Clintonville Elementary School is recovering after a vehicle struck them while they were trying to board a school bus Thursday morning, according to district superintendent Patrick Stirk.

Police said the juvenile remained “alert and conscious,” while school officials confirmed the student is “recovering under the care of medical professionals.”

The crash happened near the intersection of Pool Road and St. John Street, school officials said.

Police officers and fire crews responded to the scene.
