The week is starting off calm, with temperatures hovering around 80 degrees, but a few storms are set to move through the northern half of Arkansas on Tuesday.
These storms may develop as early as Tuesday morning and continue building through the afternoon and evening. They could become strong enough to bring damaging wind gusts and hail, and there is also a slight chance of an isolated tornado.
Rain is expected to persist overnight into Wednesday morning and may continue into late evening hours, particularly across southern Arkansas.
One to two inches of rain are possible for some parts of the state.
