WILMINGTON, Delaware (April 22, 2026) — A Wilmington man has been formally indicted in connection with an alleged plan to carry out an attack targeting the police station at the University of Delaware, authorities confirmed.
The suspect, Luqmaan Khan, was initially arrested in November of 2025 while sitting inside a vehicle at Canby Park.
According to investigators, officers discovered multiple loaded firearms inside the vehicle, along with a notebook that allegedly contained a written manifesto outlining plans for the attack. The materials raised immediate concerns, leading to Khan’s arrest and further investigation.
At the time, Khan was enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Delaware.
Authorities say the evidence suggested a planned attack specifically targeting the university’s police department, prompting swift action to prevent any potential threat.
