Two Injured in Hartford Shooting; Police Launch Investigation

HARTFORD, Connecticut (April 23, 2026) — Authorities are investigating a late-night shooting in Hartford that left two individuals injured, according to the Hartford Police Department.

Police reported that officers were called to Hartford Hospital around 9:49 p.m. on Wednesday after receiving information about a gunshot victim seeking medical treatment.

The first victim, a man in his twenties, arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound. Shortly after, a second victim—a 19-year-old male—also arrived with similar injuries.

Officials confirmed that both individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Following initial reports, investigators determined that the shooting took place near the intersection of Prospect Street and Sheldon Street. Law enforcement units, including Major Crimes and Crime Scene divisions, responded to the location to gather evidence and assess the scene.
