A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in New Haven on Tuesday, according to police.
The crash occurred near Ella Grasso Boulevard and Printer’s Lane. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the injured cyclist to a hospital with significant injuries. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or condition beyond confirming the injuries are serious.
Following the incident, Ella Grasso Boulevard has been shut down between Columbus Avenue and Adeline Street as investigators examine the scene.
Officials have not yet said when the roadway will reopen, and the circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
