Husband, Wife Found Dead in Hot Springs Village Shooting; Police Investigating Possible Murder-Suicide

Authorities are investigating a tragic shooting in Hot Springs Village that left a husband and wife dead inside their home over the weekend.

According to the Hot Springs Village Police Department, officers responded to a welfare check around 10:30 p.m. on April 18 at a residence in the 1000 block of Sacedon Lane.

When officers arrived, they discovered two individuals — identified as 73-year-old Sandra Craig and 69-year-old Carl Craig — deceased inside the home. Both appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds.

Preliminary findings from investigators suggest the incident may be a murder-suicide. Police believe Carl Craig fatally shot his wife before turning the gun on himself.

Officials have not released further details about what may have led up to the shooting. The case remains under active investigation as authorities continue to gather evidence and review the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
