Authorities said the crash occurred around 4 p.m. on Taftville-Occum Road after multiple emergency calls reported a serious motor vehicle collision.

When officers arrived, they discovered a crash involving a dirt bike and a passenger vehicle, confirming the severity of the incident.


Victim Identified as Jewett City Man

The dirt bike rider was identified as Dale Lucier, a 25-year-old resident of Jewett City.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital following the collision but later died from his injuries, police confirmed.
