A North Haven man currently on parole has been formally charged in connection with a New Year’s Eve bank robbery in Berlin, federal authorities announced.
Grand Jury Indictment Filed
A federal grand jury in New Haven indicted Thomas Marra, 55, on charges related to the robbery at a Webster Bank branch on Webster Square Road.
Arrest and Custody Status
Marra was arrested on January 7 and has remained in custody since that time, according to officials.
Potential Prison Sentence
If convicted, Marra could face:
- Up to 20 years in federal prison
- Additional penalties for violating the terms of his supervised release
Prior Criminal History
Court records show Marra was previously sentenced in 2023 to five years in prison for a federal narcotics trafficking offense. He was released from custody in June 2025, just months before the alleged robbery.
