A 22-year-old man from Milford has been arrested in connection with a fatal overdose that occurred late last year in Fairfield, according to investigators.
Overdose Incident in December 2025
Authorities said emergency responders were called to a residence on Mill Plain Road on Dec. 27, 2025, after a man was found unresponsive. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation later determined the cause of death was acute intoxication involving a combination of cocaine, fentanyl, and alcohol.
Suspect Turns Himself In
Police identified Connor Dushay as a suspect in the case. He voluntarily surrendered to authorities on March 19 after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Allegations and Charges
Investigators allege that Dushay supplied the narcotics that led to the overdose. He is also accused of attempting to interfere with the investigation by tampering with evidence at the scene.
He now faces multiple charges, including:
- Sale of a narcotic substance
- Tampering with or fabricating physical evidence
- Possession of a controlled substance (second offense)
Court Proceedings
Dushay appeared in court on the same day he turned himself in. The case remains active as legal proceedings continue.
