Authorities in Baxter County are investigating a shooting incident that left two men injured after an apparent exchange of gunfire on Monday evening.
Disturbance Leads to Shooting
According to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a disturbance in the Bayhill Place area, where witnesses reported hearing shouting followed by multiple gunshots.
Upon arrival, officers found one injured man outside a residence and provided immediate medical assistance before he was transported to a nearby hospital.
Second Victim Located
Shortly after, authorities learned that a second individual involved in the incident had also sustained gunshot wounds and had already been taken to a hospital in a private vehicle.

Preliminary findings suggest the shooting stemmed from an argument between the two men—aged 50 and 21—over a property boundary issue. The disagreement escalated into a gunfire exchange between both parties.
