Missouri Supreme Court warns about fake Case.net websites

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The Supreme Court of Missouri is alerting the public about websites that are impersonating the state’s online court records system, Courts.mo.gov (Casenet), warning that these sites could expose users to viruses and malware.

In a release issued Wednesday, Missouri courts pointed to several fraudulent sites, highlighting one in particular (mo-casenet.us) that appears connected to the courts but is not. Users who attempt to access the site may receive warnings claiming a virus has been detected on their device.

Officials urge the public not to use this website and to steer clear of any similar web addresses that are not Courts.mo.gov before accessing them.

The list of flagged websites are:

  • mo-casenet.us
  • casenetmo.net
  • mo-case.net
  • casenetmonet.website3.me
  • www-casenetmo.us

Authorities say it remains unclear whether the other sites carry the same risk as the mo-casenet.us website, but emphasize that none are linked to Missouri courts and should be avoided.

Investigators have alerted law enforcement, and officials are currently reviewing the matter.

Anyone with questions or concerns is encouraged to reach out to the Missouri courts’ help desk.
