Fayetteville Driver Dies After Truck Strikes Median Wall on I-49

BENTON COUNTY, Ark.  — A Fayetteville man died in a crash on Interstate 49 Wednesday night, according to a crash report.

A report from the Arkansas State Police states that around 6:16 p.m., 57-year-old Philip Reed was driving south on I-49 near mile marker 78.

According to the report, Reed’s 2018 Dodge Ram left the roadway and crashed into the median wall. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

The report noted that conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash.
